HueArts & Cultures: Advocating for Museums of Color

February 23 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Learn about the latest research on museums and cultural institutions of color at HueArts & Cultures preview presentation

Join Museum Hue for a timely conversation about arts and cultural institutions founded and led by Black, Indigenous, Latine/o/x, Asian, Middle Eastern, and all People of Color. This gathering will include perspectives from museum leaders on the advisory board of our newest research report, HueArts & Cultures: Northeast, as well as an exclusive preview of the research highlights and plans for expanding the project nationally. Beyond the data, we will discuss the power of sharing our own stories publicly and collectively advocating for these institutions—who are always at the very forefront of equitable, community-based arts and culture.

This event is free and open to the public with Eventbrite sign up, but is also conveniently scheduled following day 1 of the Alliance of American Museum’s Museums Advocacy Day programming for those attending.

Museum Hue is a 501(c)(3) arts service organization celebrating more than 10 years of advancing equity across arts and culture through advocacy, research, fellowships, symposia, workshops, and professional development opportunities, including a popular jobs board. Though founded in Brooklyn, New York, we are a highly regarded membership-based nonprofit with a national reach. Museum Hue works to provide greater support and recognition for Black, Indigenous, Latino/e/x, Asian, Middle Eastern, and all People of Color throughout museums and cultural entities.
